Honors Legal Scholars Program
Get a head start on Law School
The Florida State University College of Law has joined forces with the Honors Program to create a professional-track program available, on a highly competitive basis, to a small number of motivated Honors students. Both incoming first year students and current Honors students may apply. Honors Legal Scholars benefit from becoming a part of the Florida State Law community while earning their bachelor's degrees.
Honors Legal Scholars become eligible for automatic admission to the Florida State University College of Law upon completion of the stated prerequisites of the program.
Honors Legal Scholars gain experience and knowledge through volunteer and educational activities as well as social gatherings. They are given pre-professional advising, meet with professors, observe classes, and shadow current students in the College of Law.
Eligibility
In order to apply to this competitive program, students must either 1) be admitted to both Florida State University and the Honors Program, or 2) be currently enrolled Honors students in good standing. There is a specific timeline students must follow in order to apply. Interested freshman applicants must apply for undergraduate admission to Florida State University by October 14, 2009 to be considered.
