Megan Gillman

Megan joined the FSU Honors office in the summer of 2015, and works with students in both the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major program. In addition to offering one-on-one advising and coaching for honors students, she also coordinates training for our Honors Colloquium Leaders, and is actively piloting our freshman peer mentor program.

Megan grew up in New Jersey and completed her Bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University with a major in linguistics, and biology minor.  She then came to Tallahassee, FL to earn her Master’s in Higher Education Student Affairs. During her graduate program she worked with various FSU offices, including New Student and Family Programs, Student Rights and Responsibilities, and PeaceJam. After graduating in 2012, Megan spent a year working in New Orleans as a Student Success Counselor before returning to FSU.  Megan has been advising at FSU since 2013 and is passionate about helping students find their individual voices and take ownership of their education.
