Hilary came to FSU from Hobe Sound, Florida and majored in History. Under the guidance of Dr. James P. Jones, Hilary researched the relationship between the leadership of Nazi Germany and the German medical community during World War II. This relationship led to the participation of many German physicians in the practice of euthanasia and the Holocaust. Hilary reviewed the personal accounts of German physicians and their victims, and studied social ideologies of the 19th and 20th centuries that supported these practices. Her thesis was titled “Symbiosis: The Relationship That Led to ‘Euthanasia Aktion T4’ and Medical Experimentation on Human Subjects.” Hilary graduated in 2005 and is attending law school at the University of Florida.
