Dr. Michael Franklin of the Honors in the Major Program, along with Dr. Kelly Farquharson of the FSU School of Communication Sciences & Disorders, would like to congratulate recent alumna, Katherine Goodwin, whose article was recently published in the Communications Disorders Quarterly Journal on November 30, 2020. The article, "Examining the Quality of Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Goals for Children With Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)," is a collaborative effort with Associate Professor, Dr. Kelly Farquharson (FSU Communication Sciences & Disorders) and other researchers from the University of Nebraska, University of Wyoming, and Towson University (Maryland), which built upon Katherine's Honors in the Major undergraduate thesis work while at FSU. Katherine Goodwin graduated as an Outstanding Senior Scholar in the spring 2020 semester, completing the University Honors Program's requirements, successfully defending her Honors in the Major thesis project, and graduating Summa Cum Laude from Florida State University. Her undergraduate thesis project is currently housed in the FSU DigiNole Digital Respository.
She is currently a master's student at the University of Central Florida's School of Communication & Science Disorders.
