Student Reflection on New York Public Library for the Performing Arts Research Project:

"Working on this project with the New York Public Library was extremely rewarding, because I got to apply skills I’ve been learning for years to something outside of classwork. I found that research for research’s sake was both interesting and fulfilling, especially since we were looking into something I’d never heard of, but still got to apply my own skills at music analysis and contextualization.

If there’s one thing I learned, it’s that to find anything, you just have to do a little digging. Even when attempting to find a score that is believed to be lost, I still managed to find useful sheet music that illuminated the works we brought back to life!"
