Advising

Honors Program Advisors

Honors Program Advisors counsel students on the University Honors Program requirements and how they complement their degree requirements and career goals to give them a unique collegiate honors experience. Honors students are assigned a dedicated Honors Advisor and are required to meet with their Honors Advisor in the first semester.

Academic Advisors

Academic Advisors, often called Major advisors, are a student’s primary advisor who knows the degree requirements for FSU and their program(s) along with different campus-wide resources to assist students. Academic Advisor’s discuss program requirements, course selection and planning prior to registration, progress toward degree completion and timeline to graduation.

Specialty Advisors

Specialty Advisors are resources that provide focused support in a variety of programs and academic disciplines at FSU. Specialty Advisors are located across campus and enhance an Honors Students experience at FSU with their expertise. These specialists include Honors in the Major advisors, Thesis Directors, College Life Coaches, Academic Guides, Career Center etc.
