Advising

Honors Program Advisors

Honors Program Advisors counsel students on the University Honors Program requirements and how they complement their degree requirements and career goals to give them a unique collegiate honors experience. Honors students are assigned a dedicated Honors Advisor and are required to meet with their Honors Advisor in the first semester.

Academic Advisors

Academic Advisors are a student’s primary advisor who can assist them in developing educational plans based on their strengths, talents, and interests including experiential learning and co-curricular activities. They are available to discuss program requirements, course selection and planning, progress toward degree completion, timeline to graduation, career and graduate school plans and more.

Specialty Advisors

Specialty Advisors are resources that provide focused support in a variety of programs and academic disciplines at FSU. Specialty Advisors are located across campus and enhance an Honors Students experience at FSU with their expertise. These specialists include Honors in the Major advisors, Thesis Directors, College Life Coaches, Academic Guides, Career Center, Office of National Fellowships, etc.
