Michaela Shenberger moved to Tallahassee from Boone, North Carolina to pursue her Master’s Degree in Higher Education. Michaela attended Appalachian State University, where she walked uphill both ways in the snow to class on a regular basis; so sunny Florida State University is a bit of a reprieve and she finally knows what a tan looks like. Michaela is passionate about whole student well being which includes mental, physical, academic and social aspects. She enjoys the passion FSU’s honors students have about their research, academics, intramural sports, and talents. She also loves challenging and supporting students to reach for greater heights and bigger goals. Michaela advises the Honors Student Association on their endeavors to create and grow a honors student community filled with support and opportunity. When not in her office drinking tea and working, Michaela can be found in class, doing yoga, posting photos of her cat or wandering around outside.
