2020 NCHC Freddy T. Davy Undergraduate Scholarship Award Winner - Sneha Kapil

 Sneha Kapil - Honors Student

Sneha Kapil, FSU Presidential Scholar and Honors Experience Program student, was awarded the National Collegiate Honors Council's Freddye T. Davy Scholarship Award in September 2020.  She was one of only four recipients to receive this prestigious award nationally.  The award comes with a monetary scholarship, as well as paid registration fees to the National Collegiate Honors Council's (NCHC) 2020 virtual conference.  The Honors Program could not be more proud of Sneha and her continued contributions to the honors community and beyond!

Excerpt from essay submitted to the National Collegiate Honors Council:

“An important aspect of encouraging diversity is creating dialogue around social issues. Honors students can use their communication skills to build spaces where dialogue between different groups of people can occur. One such project I am a part of is a collaboration between the FSU Honors Program and organization called Power of We. This collaboration allows honors students to activate their research and collaborative skills to build inclusive conversation spaces and bridge gaps in polarized thinking.” - Sneha Kapil
